Rex A. Begaye

Dine’h na’ a’ chaa’

(Navajo artist)

The images of full blooded Dine’h (Navajo) artist Rex Begaye speaks of the universal connection of Mother Earth, Father Sky and man.  Through his paintings, stories have been passed down for generations by the elders of many nations, which are vividly brought to life through his artwork.

Rex’s art celebrates the sacredness and discipline of the Dine’h culture, leading a contemporary outlook to the ancient traditions.  To see his paintings is to span from long ago to the edge of tomorrow.

Rex is from Dine’htah (Navajo nation), Grand Canyon, Arizona. Born and raised with a culture and traditional values.  He travels throughout the country teaching about the culture of different nations through his paintings. To understand, to see and to feel his work is a teaching of balance and harmony.
