To the Native people, the drumbeat is the heatbeat of Mother Earth.

As I sit at a powwow, my mind travels upon the Earth .

I sit amongst the people and listen to the drums.

We feel the drum go through our minds, body and spirit

and we share with all people the sound

and the healing to understand the Earth.

So, as you look at my artwork, each dot is a beat of the drum.

Each piece holds the heatbeat of Mother Earth

The medium I use for the black and whites are pen, ink and pencil.

Women's faces in my art represents the beauty of Mother Earth. In the eyes of the Native people the Earth is our Mother.

She gives us all we need to live, our food, clothing and homes.

If you take a moment and look around you, is there anything that you see that is not from the Earth ?
